I found the hotel room very comfortable and was pleased to be upgraded without cost as I requested a quiet room. My impression is that the hotel is generally quiet anyway especially at the back where my room was. Reception area is attractive and inviting. My bed was very comfortable and the ensuite and shower were fine with the usual toiletries, plenty of milk, good wi fi ect. I didn't have breakfast. The staff were friendly and welcoming. A nice young woman carried my suitcase to the top floor and Baz ( In think that was his name) was exceptionally helpful with my parking when I returned late. I will definitely stay again if I am in the area.

Staff amazing and friendly. Great room and ensuite bathroom. Loved the seasonal decorations (Halloween). Comfortable and cosy and inviting from the outside and interior, option of low lighting and loved the chandelier look of the main accommodation lighting. Highly recommended to travellers near to the town centre (approx 15-20 mins) and 10 mins to Sainsbury's which is easy to find. Great hotel.

Breakfast a little surprising! In addition to a choice of 3 cereals, fruit juices and tea/coffee, also on one plate came the 'continental breakfast' - Aa croissant, small bowl of yoghurt, pain au raisin- and a small bowl of hot baked beans. Nothing wrong with it, but bowl of got baked beans ( no doubt a nod to the ' full English' came as a surprise!

Friendly staff at check in and throughout my stay. Hotel was clean and warm. My room was quiet and a lovely view over the garden. Room was cleaned every day. Good car parking.

All the facilities, I have been before and enjoyed my stay there, so this time! The staff pleasant, attentive and vey helpful as I had a bit of pb with my mobile phone and helped with an another lead from the Hotel. I lived in Bedford many years ago so it was really great to be in familiar ground again! I have known the Hotel many many years ago in fact my own mother and a friend stayed there but it wasn't the confort standard it has now with the change of ownership!

room great as i am disabled they put me on a ground floor breakfast good but sometimes i do like hot breakfast but what they do is like beans on toast etc which is good

Check in was extremely smooth and whilst shown the location of my room, hotel facilities were explained along with safety procedures. Service in the bar and restaurant was extremely good.

What a lovely surprise this stay was! I only had a budget of around £80 and wasn't overexcited at the options when I looked on booking.com initially - but The Verve certainly exceeded my expectations! Good parking, really nice boutique kind of a feel when I got inside, staff were all so attentive. I was up on the top floor in the loft but despite a fair climb with a lot of luggage for work, they'd really made good use of the space - everything I needed with extras I wouldn't expect for £80 like slippers, comb, shave kit. The TV was very small and hard to see from my bed. Dinner was delicious, they have an on-site restaurant serving Thai and English food - and the Thai meal didn't disappoint! Such good value for money as guests get 20% of their bill. I had a generous Thai main and lots of yummy prawn crackers with dips, as well as an alcoholic drink, for £13! My room was pretty quiet and warm and bathroom facilities were good. I felt safe and comfy as a solo female traveller and if I'm ever working in Bedford again, I'd certainly return here!

On entering the reception we were met with a very helpful member of staff. Very informative. The reception area was lovely. Ate at their restaurant. Food was lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Service impeccable. Also got 20% discount as we were guests. Rooms were clean and comfortable for one night. Supplied with tea, coffee and water. There was shampoo and shower gel if you had forgotten to take any.

The staff were lovely, both on arrival and at check out. Very comfortable room. Was expecting a small single but had a nice double. Price was fantastic value for money. Easy walk to and from town for a few bevvies. Stayed a few times before, and will keep on coming back!
